Hi, Noah!
Your Future Creative Director Here.
My Story
I’m an obsessive person. When I was 17, I fell in love with the board game Catan. I had 1 mission - to become the best player in the world. 1000+ Catan games and 2000+ hours studied made me the youngest person to compete at the Catan National championships. I ranked 21st at the 2018 USA Catan Championships.
My mission eventually shifted. Instead, I wanted to make the best Catan videos on the internet. 50 videos later, tons of failed experiments, and eventually becoming less camera shy… I did it.
I am the biggest Catan channel to exist.
⬇️Here are a few of my favorites⬇️
Yes. I’m a bit of a nerd.
After dedicating several years of my life mastering and teaching the Catan, I was starting to get bored…
This is when I met Luke. He is an ambitious young guy who wanted to get into YouTube. I LOVE mentoring young and ambitious people.
I invited him to live with me for 1 month and spent the entire time teaching him YouTube (totally for free).
We made a video together at the end of the month. It performed pretty well :).
Some notable things I did:
Shoot the video with him
Ideation
Thumbnail Concept Brainstorming
Review and Edit the Script (we did this 4 different times!)
Get 2M views on a NEW CHANNEL!
After his apprenticeship, I helped him get job offers as an editor from Airrack (10M subscribers) and Bryson DeChambeau (1M subscribers).
After helping Luke, I fell in love with helping creators grow with YouTube strategy.
I spent the last $1000 in my bank account to buy a ticket at VidSummit.
A high ticket creator networking event. It was the best $1000 I ever spent.
I learned so much. I met so many cool people. It’s how I met Jeremy!
This is when my backstage YouTube career really took of.
This real estate agent was my first client. He took a big bet on me as I didn’t have any prior experience in the industry.
I was determined to show him he made the right choice.
My official role was “YouTube Consultant”. In reality, I kind of did everything.
Some notable things I did:
Fired his partner
Fired his videographer, editor, and thumbnail artist
Hired new thumbnail artists and editors
Managed his budget
Built systems in place
Analyzed his YouTube analytics and created a long term content strategy plan
Came up with Ideas, titles, and thumbnail concepts
Reviewed edits of videos
A/B test a bunch
After 1 year of working together, he went from making $1000 a month ➡ $25,000 a month.
He is now the #1 real estate YouTube channel for Lubbock, Texas! Oh yea, the entire time I was working with him, we were in a bear market.
We still are in a housing bear market.
To create a media conglomerate of the political middle ground.
To see nuance and understand both sides of the argument.
To depolarize the extreme politics in the US.
GEN is my second client. I fell in love with his mission.
Some notable things I did:
Updated all his old thumbnails (any video that has 50K views or more I changed the thumbnail)
Helped hire an editor
Came up with ideas, titles, and thumbnail concepts
Film and direct the shoots
Hired external consultants to grow the team’s knowledge
Review edited footage
Curate interview questions for subjects
Review and edit scripts
And probably a lot more I didn’t mention.
Run over 100+ A/B tests
I took him from 5,000 Subscribers to 250K Subscribers in 1 Year.
The first thing I did for Gen was to change his titles and thumbnails for the past 10+ videos.
His videos are amazing, but the packaging was the issue preventing growth.
Every video that is above 50,000 views on his channel, I’ve optimized the packaging.
This was probably my favorite A/B test series.
The video was stuck at 5,000 views.
I knew this video was a banger and I did many A/B tests.
-> 8 months later, it finally blew up at 700,000 views!
A few A/B tests that I did. The arrows point to when the packaging was changed.
Sprouht was my 3rd client. We worked together for 3 months.
I took him from 30K subscribers to 300K!
It was one of the hardest 3 months of work I did. It was the fastest I ever grew a client (we cheated by using short form content).
Some notable things I did:
Hired thumbnail artists
Hired long form and short form editors
Created hiring funnel and processes
Hired Virtual Assistants
Built systems to make videos
Completely revamped his content strategy
Completely revamped his YouTube shorts strategy
Analyzed his analytics and came up with a content plan
Came up with Ideas, titles, and thumbnail concepts
Reviewed edits of videos
A/B test videos
I took Sprouht from 30K Subscribers to 300K Subscribers!
Before I started working with him:
After I started working with him:
I’m sorry about that. Again, everything was A/B tested. We wanted to make the thumbnail more different! All the data pointed to making it more similar.
And ahhh, you might remember that thumbnail… 😅
Forgot to mention, I did all this when I was going to college full-time. I’m now graduated.
I know how to work hard but still have fun.
Some things I can do:
Create detailed thumbnail briefs
Ideation
(one of the most important parts of YouTube)
These were all me!
Review Edited Videos
Final Video:
Run Detailed A/B Tests
Curate Interview Questions for Clients
Work with Sponsors
An example of a sponsored integration I’ve done
And build products for YouTube (I haven’t promoted this yet! Keep it a secret)
